Isle of Man (known also as Mann), is a self-governing British Dependency, located in the Irish Sea. It has been inhabited since before 6500 BC. It is 52 km long and 22 km wide at the widest point. The Isle of Man is home to 80k people, of whom 26k reside in the island's capital, Douglas.
Tourism is one of the main sectors of the isle's economy. People are involved in cattle farming and cultivation, including potatoes and fruit trees. Isle of Man issues its own banknotes, coins and postal stamps.
Wyspa Man (znana także jako Mann), położona na Morzu Irlandzkim, posiada status polityczny dependencji Korony brytyjskiej. Zamieszkana jest już od 6500 p.n.e. Jej długość wynosi 52 km, a w najszerszym miejscu mierzy 22 km. Wyspę zamieszkuje 80 tys. ludzi, z czego 26 tys. zamieszkuje stolicę, Douglas.
Podstawą gospodarki wyspy jest turystyka. Ludność zajmuje się uprawą, m.in. ziemniaków oraz drzew owocowych, a także hodowlą bydła, owiec, drobiu. Wyspa Man emituje własne banknoty, monety i znaczki pocztowe.
